I’m Justine, and I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from Adamson University in the Philippines.
You might be wondering how I ended up in the credit and financial industry.
After graduating in 2012, I started my career as a Data Analyst at a credit information system company. I worked there for seven years and was promoted to a Senior Credit Analyst role. During that time, I developed strong expertise in assessing the financial health of businesses applying for credit, evaluating their creditworthiness, and determining whether applications should be approved or declined.
Over time, I found myself becoming more interested in the credit side of the business rather than the IT side of my role. I then moved to Citibank Australia, where I worked as a Credit Underwriter handling end-to-end personal loan and credit card applications. I specialised in reviewing and assessing complex applications, analysing income documents, credit reports, and complaints.
I have recently joined Debt Busters as an Underwriter, where I review client budgets and affordability, gather accurate debt information, and conduct thorough assessments to prepare proposals that creditors are likely to accept.
I strive to be a trusted Financial Freedom Fighter who can help people in need of debt relief. I am very passionate about my work, and I find it rewarding to not only build a career but also do meaningful work that supports others.
Outside of work, I stay very active. I enjoy backpacking, hiking, running, and playing sports. I believe that true work-life balance comes from integrating the things you enjoy into your life, rather than separating them.
